The new CCIE Enterprise Wireless certification program prepares you for today’s expert-level job roles in enterprise wireless technologies. CCIE Enterprise Wireless includes automation and programmability to help you scale your enterprise wireless infrastructure.
One of the industry’s most respected certifications, CCIE distinguishes you as a technical leader.
To earn CCIE Enterprise Wireless, you pass two exams: a qualifying exam and hands-on lab exam.
First, take the qualifying exam, Implementing and Operating Cisco Enterprise Network Core Technologies (ENCOR 350-401), which focuses on your knowledge of enterprise networking technologies.
You can prepare for this exam by taking the training course, Implementing and Operating Cisco Enterprise Network Core Technologies (ENCOR).
The qualifying exam earns a Specialist certification, so you can get recognized for your accomplishments along the way.
Second, take the 8-hour, hands-on lab exam, CCIE Enterprise Wireless v1.0. This exam covers the end-to-end lifecycle of complex enterprise wireless networks, from designing through deploying, operating, and optimizing.
On February 24, 2020, the new 350-401 ENCOR exam will replace the CCIE Wireless Written exam. After you pass 350-401 ENCOR, you will earn the Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Core certification.
On April 27, 2020, the new CCIE Enterprise Wireless Lab Exam v1.0 will replace the current CCIE Wireless Lab Exam.
That means that between February 24 and April 27, 2020, to earn CCIE Enterprise Wireless, you must pass the 350-401 ENCOR exam and the CCIE Wireless Lab exam.
If you pass the current CCIE Wireless Written v5.0 exam before February 24, you'll be eligible to take the lab exam that is available when you test, either CCIE Wireless or CCIE Enterprise Wireless.
If you complete the entire CCIE Wireless certification before April 27, then on April 27, you'll automatically receive the new CCIE Enterprise Wireless certification, which you can maintain as per new recertification guidelines.
There are no formal prerequisites for CCIE Enterprise Wireless, but you should have a thorough understanding of the exam topics before taking the exam.
CCIE candidates are recommended to have five to seven years of experience with designing, deploying, operating and optimizing enterprise wireless technologies and solutions prior to taking the exam.
CCIE Enterprise Wireless certification is valid for three years. For more information about recertifying, visit the Recertification page.
